Manten no Tsujinoya

This hot spring inn is known for its private hot spring source, kaiseki cuisine, and 20-acre strolling garden filled with seasonal flowers and trees.
A major renovation of the entire property was completed in 2024, preserving its traditions while making the inn more comfortable.

Awazu Onsen boasts a 1,300-year history and is renowned for its smooth feel and abundance of beneficial minerals. Guests can fully experience its celebrated waters in the large public bath, adorned with an impressive ceramic mural by a master Kutani ware artist, as well as in the open-air baths and garden bath area, which offers five baths and a hot stone spa.

The relaxing Japanese-modern guest rooms come in a wide variety, including a Royal Suite with a semi-open-air bath and a Family Suite with bunk beds, a rarity at traditional Japanese inns. All guest rooms have beds.

Meals are prepared under the direction of an executive chef who has received an award from Japan’s Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. The inn serves kaiseki cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients, including seafood from the Sea of Japan and Kaga vegetables. In addition to seasonal menus, special courses featuring crab or fugu are also popular.

For a casual hot spring visit, day-use bathing plans are available with a variety of packages that include lunch, afternoon tea, or pool access.
