Tachibana Shikitei
A long-established ryokan where you can enjoy one of the few natural hot spring sources in Yamashiro Onsen.
With over 150 years of history, this long-established ryokan stands in Yamashiro Onsen, one of the hot spring areas of Kaga Onsen-kyo, a leading hot spring destination in Hokuriku. The lobby is lined with rare natural solid paulownia wood, creating a refined atmosphere.
The guest rooms have a calm, elegant design that reflects the distinctive style of Yamashiro, with Wajima lacquer doors, Kutani ware handles and flower vases, and flooring made from solid paulownia wood. Outside the windows, you can look out over the sacred forest of Hattori Shrine and Yakuoin Temple and enjoy seasonal scenery throughout the year. Some rooms also come with a dining table, massage chair, and open-air cypress bath, allowing you to choose from a variety of stay styles to suit your purpose and preferences.
The ryokan’s signature baths feature natural hot spring water from one of the few original spring sources in Yamashiro Onsen. The space, decorated with design tiles on the walls, is bright and open, perfect for relaxing at ease. Be sure to enjoy the open-air bath as well, where you can soak while gazing at the moon and stars.
For dinner, kaiseki cuisine is served, showcasing the seasonal bounty of Hokuriku, a region known for its exceptional ingredients. In spring, enjoy dishes featuring Noto beef and firefly squid; in summer, black abalone and sweetfish; in autumn, blackthroat seaperch and matsutake mushrooms; and in winter, a full crab feast, all prepared with care by skilled chefs.
