Kissho Yamanaka is a hot spring ryokan in Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Set beside the Daishoji River that flows through the hot spring town, it earned three stars in the accommodations category of Michelin Guide Hokuriku 2021. It is known as a place where guests can experience refined hospitality.
The ryokan has three restaurants: Benihana for kaiseki dining, Aotake for teppanyaki, and Chihiro, a private dining restaurant for guestrooms with open-air view baths. Each restaurant is known for dishes made with the branded wagyu, Noto beef. Its fine texture and elegant fat can be enjoyed through a variety of cooking styles.
At Kaga kaiseki restaurant Benihana, there is a plan where you can enjoy seafood such as rosy seabass and snow crab together with Noto beef. At the teppanyaki course Aotake, guests can also enjoy watching the chef grill Noto beef steak right in front of them. In addition to Noto beef, there is also a wide selection of dishes made with seasonal Kaga vegetables and seafood from the Hokuriku region. At the private dining restaurant Chihiro, guests can enjoy refined hospitality presented with Ishikawa Prefecture’s traditional crafts, Kutani ware and Yamanaka lacquerware.
