Kuroyuri
Directly connected to Kanazawa Station-an eatery where you can savor Kanazawa-style oden and local specialties.
Founded in 1953, Kuroyuri is a long-established eatery where you can enjoy Kanazawa-style oden, Kaga regional cuisine, and local sake. It is conveniently located inside Kanazawa Hyakubangai Anto, directly connected to Kanazawa Station.
The house specialty is Kanazawa oden, made with a delicately balanced dashi combining two kinds of bonito flakes, dried sardines, and kombu. The broth is characterized by a gentle sweetness and a clean, refined finish. Signature ingredients include umegai sea snails landed in Kanazawa and the San’in region, and kuruma-fu-wheat gluten wrapped around a skewer and grilled. Lunch offerings include the Kito-kito Set, featuring assorted fresh fish sourced from Omicho Market, as well as nine other options such as the Hakusan Set, served with the local specialty Hakusan firm tofu. Kaga regional dishes like iwana arai, prepared with char scooped directly from the restaurant’s live tank, are also available. The sake selection includes more than 10 varieties of local brews.
The interior has 41 seats in total-15 counter seats and 26 table seats. At the counter, diners can choose their oden while surrounded by the inviting aroma of dashi. With its relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant is easy to visit whether you’re enjoying a casual daytime drink while traveling or dining solo.
