Located in the birthplace of Sakamoto Ryoma, Jyoseikan is a historic Japanese-style ryokan founded in 1874. Known for its warm, thoughtful hospitality, it offers a relaxing stay in a calm atmosphere.

The cuisine is another highlight, featuring plenty of local Tosa ingredients from both the mountains and the sea. Options range from hearty sawachi platter dishes to colorful kaiseki course meals and luxurious full-course Western cuisine. The breakfast buffet, with Japanese and Western dishes rich in local flavor, is also popular. At the open-air observation bath on the top floor, guests can enjoy a leisurely soak while taking in views of Kochi Castle Town and the surrounding mountains. The view from Shiromi Yagura, a post-bath lounge where you can see illuminated Kochi Castle, is also wonderful.

Guest rooms come in a wide range of styles, centered on soothing Japanese-style rooms, as well as a barrier-free special room, a Japanese-Western VIP room, and clean, comfortable Western-style rooms, so you can choose according to your travel purpose and group.
