Restaurant Kadota
A Matsuyama favorite with over 30 years of history. Enjoy “Setouchi French” made with seasonal flavors from Ehime.
Located in central Matsuyama, Ehime, Restaurant Kadota is a beloved local French restaurant with over 30 years of history. Set two streets off Matsuyama’s main Okaido shopping arcade, it offers private rooms and a relaxed atmosphere.
The cuisine makes generous use of fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea, often called Japan’s most beautiful inland sea, along with flavorful local vegetables grown in Ehime’s mild climate and other seasonal local ingredients. Guests can enjoy “Setouchi French,” a seasonal style that brings out the best in each ingredient.
A variety of courses are available for both lunch and dinner. Especially popular is the lunch-only “SHOKADO” course, French cuisine that can also be enjoyed with chopsticks. Colorful dishes are served on Tobe ware, a traditional craft of Ehime. The “Setouchi-Style Bouillabaisse Course,” packed with the rich flavor of fresh Setouchi seafood, is also well worth trying (reservations required at least 2 days in advance).
Restaurant Kadota also provides meals on JR Shikoku’s sightseeing train Iyonada Monogatari on the outbound route from Matsuyama to Yawatahama. You can enjoy the flavors of this renowned restaurant onboard as well.
