Aburaya Tousen
A hot spring ryokan in Nagano where guests can unwind in refined surroundings with extensive facilities.
A popular ryokan in Yudanaka Onsen, a historic hot spring resort in Nagano with more than 1,350 years of history. Its wide variety of baths and extensive facilities make it ideal for extended stays.
The 32 distinctive guest rooms suit a range of travel styles, from simple, relaxing standard rooms with traditional Japanese touches to special rooms with open-air baths and löyly saunas for the ultimate private retreat. Dinner is an original kaiseki course featuring an abundance of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Popular interactive dining experiences include a live kitchen where chefs prepare sushi to order before your eyes and the signature “Aburaya Fondue,” which lets guests fry their own skewers.
The hot spring floor features a large public bath with panoramic views of Nagano’s mountains and the Yomase River below, open-air baths that offer different scenery depending on the time of day, a sauna, massage baths, and more. Together with the private open-air bath and hot stone spa, these facilities provide plenty of ways to ease the fatigue of daily life. Guests can also make the most of a spa resort stay at the adjacent complex, home to a rooftop bar, craft brewery, and rooms with open-air baths available for day use.
