Hirugami Onsen Yurui no Yado Keizan

A hot spring inn in the quiet mountain onsen town of Hirugami Onsen at the southern tip of Shinshu. All guest rooms are on the 4th floor or higher, and every room overlooks the clear waters of the Achi River and the Hirugami Onsen townscape. The inn is located in Achi Village, which has been certified by the Ministry of the Environment as having “the best starry sky in Japan,” making it a perfect place to enjoy Achi’s night sky.

The bathing facilities include a large indoor public bath, an open-air bath, and private baths. In the open-air bath, decorated with natural stones from the Southern Alps, you can soak in the smooth, silky waters of Hirugami Onsen while taking in a sky full of stars. The private bath is spacious enough for up to 8 people, making it ideal for families and groups.

The inn’s signature dining features charcoal-grilled irori hearth cuisine and local kaiseki meals made with regional ingredients. Gathering around the irori to enjoy seasonal charcoal-grilled dishes and warm hot pots offers a nostalgic dining experience that guests love. Breakfast includes soy milk hot pot and other wholesome dishes made with plenty of local ingredients.
