What attracted me most to Funaya Biyori in Ine Town, Kyoto Prefecture, was the unique scenery of the funaya boathouses. Walking along Ine Bay, you can see rows of traditional boathouses lining the coast, with the first floors directly connected to the water. The view is really distinctive.

Strolling around Funaya Biyori, you can get an up-close look at the views of Ine Bay and the streets lined with boathouses. When the weather is nice, the water looks very clear, and the whole town has a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Compared with the bustling tourist attractions in central Kyoto, this place feels more suited to slow travel.

Along the way, you can enjoy views of the Shonan coast, and occasionally see the train running close to the shoreline. The train ride itself becomes part of the journey.

I found the pass very suitable for a day trip to Kamakura and Enoshima. You can hop on and off freely based on your itinerary and connect attractions such as the Great Buddha, Hase, Kamakurakokomae, and Enoshima, making the trip easy and convenient.

The Nagoya Anpanman Children's Museum & Park is really cute. As soon as you walk in, it feels like you've entered the world of Anpanman, with familiar characters and colorful decorations everywhere. Even just taking photos is a lot of fun!

There are many interactive games and attractions inside, and you can also see characters such as Anpanman and Baikinman. The whole atmosphere is very lively.

Matsuyama Castle in Ehime can be seen from far away, perched on top of the mountain, and it looks very impressive. After taking the ropeway or chairlift up the mountain, you can walk the rest of the way to the castle keep while enjoying views of Matsuyama along the way.

Inside the castle, you can see preserved gates, stone walls, and traditional buildings. Taking your time exploring feels like stepping back in time. From the top of the castle keep, you get sweeping views of Matsuyama’s cityscape and the mountains in the distance.

Miyakojima's Yukishio “Powder Salt” is a specialty souvenir from Miyakojima, Okinawa. The fine, powdery salt looks just like snow and is also very easy to use. I brought some home to try and found that the saltiness was very mild, rather than just sharply salty.

Ichinokura's Himezen has a very refreshing sweet-and-tart flavor. It starts with a light sweetness, followed by a slight tartness. The overall taste is very pleasant and doesn't feel too heavy.

It's very smooth and easy to drink, with just the right balance of sweetness and tartness. It's especially refreshing when served chilled. For people who don't usually like a strong alcohol taste, this mild flavor is also easier to enjoy.

Browsing “0101” in Hakata, there are lots of clothes, sundries, and household goods to take your time looking through, and the overall atmosphere is very lively. Each floor has different brands and products, so it’s easy to lose track of time and spend quite a while browsing.

Besides enjoying the food in Hakata, I also set aside time to shop here. Whenever I saw something I liked, I couldn’t help stopping to take a look.

My strongest impression of Kotohiragu Shrine in Kagawa was, “There are seriously so many stairs!” As I climbed, the scenery and shrine buildings along the way were very distinctive, but toward the end, my legs really started to feel sore.

As I made my way up the steps, I stopped along the way to rest and catch my breath, constantly thinking, “How much farther is it?” When I finally reached the shrine, it really felt like I had completed a challenge. I was completely exhausted, but seeing the view in front of me still made it feel worthwhile.

Kotohiragu Shrine is an attraction that requires some stamina. If you aren't mentally prepared before coming, the endless stairs will really take you by surprise! Still, walking the whole way myself made it a very memorable part of the trip. Next time, I'll definitely wear comfortable shoes and take my time climbing!

While in Hakodate, I made a special trip to visit Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse Hakodate History Plaza. As soon as you enter the area, you can see the historic red brick buildings. The red brick walls and surrounding streetscape really capture the character of Hakodate as a port town.

When the weather is nice, it's very pleasant to walk around the warehouses, and you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a harbor city. I discovered another distinctive attraction on this visit to Hakodate, and I'd like to come back next time and explore it at a leisurely pace!

Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse BAY HAKODATE is a must-visit in Hakodate. Walking along the bay, you can see rows of historic red brick buildings. The red brick walls paired with the harbor scenery create a view that really captures the character of Hakodate.

There are many shops, restaurants, and souvenir stores inside, so you can take your time browsing and shopping. The red brick warehouse buildings themselves are also great for photos, and walking through the streets has a nostalgic and romantic atmosphere.
