On Enoshima, besides browsing the little shops and enjoying the food along the way, what I looked forward to most was going up the Enoshima Sea Candle. The walk up was a little tiring, but once I saw the view from the observation deck, it really felt worth it! From above, the blue ocean, Enoshima's streets, and the distant coastline all came into view. The view was incredibly expansive.

Minato Mirai 21 is one of Yokohama's most iconic waterfront cityscapes, where skyscrapers, a Ferris wheel, the harbor, and modern architecture come together, giving the whole area a stylish and romantic atmosphere. The first time I saw the harbor district, I felt it had a different vibe from Tokyo! Walking slowly along the waterfront and taking in the harbor, boats, and surrounding buildings made everything feel especially relaxed. Toward evening, the sky gradually turned orange and the city lights came on one by one. Together with their reflections on the water, the whole scene was very beautiful.

The Wada House is one of Shirakawa-go's most iconic gassho-style homes and one of its best-preserved traditional buildings. Its thick thatched roof and wooden structure make it look like a cottage from a fairy tale, and it feels especially historic and charming up close.

During this visit, I went inside and saw the traditional living spaces and architectural structure. The house's design also shows the ingenuity of former residents in adapting to the region's heavy snowfall.

At first sight, I was captivated by the natural scenery around Deai Bridge in Shirakawa-go's gassho-zukuri village. The stream flows gently beneath the bridge, surrounded by forested mountains, with distinctive gassho-style buildings in the distance. The whole scene is full of Japanese countryside charm.

This time, I walked across Deai Bridge myself. Standing on the bridge in the gentle breeze, looking at the clear stream and surrounding scenery, felt especially relaxing. As I slowly made my way into the village, I could also enjoy the traditional thatched-roof houses and mountain views. Every angle was perfect for photos, and it really felt like stepping into a fairy tale.

When traveling in Japan, of course you can't miss Isetan! As soon as you walk in, you can feel the upscale, stylish shopping atmosphere. It has everything from clothing and cosmetics to household goods and food, with such a wide variety of products that it's really easy to accidentally buy too much.

On this visit to Isetan, I especially enjoyed taking my time choosing what I needed and checking out local Japanese brands and specialty products. The basement food hall in particular was so much fun to browse that I didn't want to leave!

Hida-Furukawa Station is located in Gifu Prefecture and is an important station for getting to the town of Hida-Furukawa. Although the station itself isn't large, it has plenty of local character, and the surrounding area is very quiet, giving it a completely different feel from busy big-city stations.

What impressed me most when I visited Hida-Furukawa Station was the relaxed, rustic atmosphere around it. After leaving the station, you can take your time enjoying the town's streets, traditional architecture, and natural scenery. There are no crowded throngs of people, making it especially pleasant to walk around.

If you've seen Your Name, this place will feel even more familiar, and the scenes from the movie add a dreamlike quality to Hida-Furukawa.

Universal Citywalk Osaka is filled with a strong movie-themed atmosphere. Both sides of the street are lined with all kinds of shops, restaurants, and distinctive decorations. Even before entering the attractions area, you can already feel the cheerful atmosphere, and walking around really feels like stepping into the world of movies.

During my visit, I saw all kinds of cute character merchandise, souvenirs, and specialty foods along the way, and I couldn't help browsing and taking photos the whole time.

Tokyo International Exhibition Center, commonly known as “Tokyo Big Sight,” is a very large exhibition and event venue in Tokyo. What caught my attention most was the uniquely shaped inverted-triangle building. It looks very distinctive even from a distance and is completely unlike ordinary buildings.

This time, besides admiring the unusual architecture, I also experienced the lively atmosphere of a large exhibition. The spacious venue, crowds, and wide variety of exhibits made everything feel fresh and interesting, with different surprises in every area.

The Ken & Mary Tree is located in Biei, Hokkaido. It's a famous Lombardy poplar that became popular after appearing in a car commercial. Standing alone in a vast field against Biei's blue sky and rolling hills, the view is simple yet very distinctive.

There are no elaborate tourist facilities—just one tree, a vast field, and an open sky—but that's exactly what makes it feel so relaxing.

Of course, the thing I was most looking forward to at Nijo Market was trying Hokkaido seafood! Fresh sea urchin and salmon roe with a steaming seafood rice bowl—every bite was packed with fresh flavor and truly satisfying. Besides enjoying the food, you can browse the market and check out all kinds of Hokkaido specialties. The atmosphere is very lively.

My biggest takeaway from this market visit was, “When in Hokkaido, you have to eat seafood!” Everything from the fresh ingredients to the local cuisine left a lasting impression.
