Takashimaya Times Square

Takashimaya Times Square, a large commercial facility that opened in 1996, consists of a main building with a basement level and 14 above-ground floors. The main building centers around Shinjuku Takashimaya and houses Japan's largest Tokyu Hands, Uniqlo, and the electronics retailer Nojima.

I came to Takashimaya Times Square in Shinjuku at night. Quite a few people were gathered outside in the plaza, leisurely walking around and browsing, and the whole atmosphere was very relaxed.

The plaza at night didn't feel as rushed as it does during the day. Instead, it had a more leisurely feel, with many people chatting and taking walks while enjoying the lively atmosphere of Tokyo at night.

After exploring the streets of Shinjuku, it was nice to take a walk around here, look at the surrounding lights and passing crowds, and get a sense of everyday life in Tokyo at night.

Niseko in Hokkaido—the entire snowy landscape is so beautiful that you can't help taking photo after photo! Snow covers the mountaintops, and everywhere you look is a silvery-white world, full of that Hokkaido winter atmosphere.

Even without skiing, I really enjoyed the relaxed resort feel here. The surrounding snowy scenery is beautiful, and it feels like you're in a winter wonderland.

Osaka Shinsekai Original Kushikatsu Daruma Shinsekai Main Store

Founded in 1929, just off Tsutenkaku Tower, Osaka's landmark. The main store of "Kushikatsu Daruma", which operates mainly in Osaka city.Kushikatsu is fried in Daruma's special original cooking oil making it light and easy to eat and does not cause stomach upsets like many heavy deep fried dishes can.

Kushikatsu Daruma, the original kushikatsu restaurant in Osaka's Shinsekai—of course you have to try their signature kushikatsu when you're in Osaka!

This time I ordered the wagyu skewer. Although it wasn't fried, it was still tender when I bit into it. Paired with their special sauce, it was savory and so easy to keep eating. After walking around the Shinsekai shopping street, stopping by for a skewer really gives you a taste of the local Osaka atmosphere!

Shopping at Sapporo PARCO, there are lots of clothing brands to browse at your own pace. There’s a good selection of women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories, and it’s easy to end up buying something as you look around!

Each floor has stores with different styles, ranging from casual everyday wear to more design-oriented clothing. If you enjoy shopping, it’s definitely worth setting aside some time to browse.

It is a famous store of Nagoya's well known "Miso-katsu" founded in 1947. The Tonkatsu is covered with sauce made from naturally brewed bean miso from Aichi prefecture that has been aged for a year and a half.

Yabaton in the Osu Shopping District caught my eye while I was shopping, so I couldn't resist stopping in for a bite! Their signature miso pork cutlet is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The crunchy breading is covered with a rich Nagoya miso sauce, and the savory-sweet flavor goes really well with rice.

Stopping by for a Nagoya specialty while exploring the lively Osu Shopping District is a great way to refuel during your trip.

Rilakkuma Store Tokyo Station is a specialty shop dedicated to Rilakkuma, built around the concept “Happy life with Rilakkuma.” It opened in 2009 as Japan’s first official standalone Rilakkuma shop. The biggest attraction at Tinu Beach on Okinawa's Kouri Island is the famous Heart Rock by the sea! The two rocks stand in the deep blue water, and from a certain angle, they look like a complete heart. It's really romantic.

Once you reach the beach, you can see Heart Rock rising from the water. Together with Okinawa's clear blue ocean and sky, the whole scene is incredibly beautiful. It's even more impressive in person than in photos, and it's also a great place to take pictures.

Located in the bustling area of Namba, surrounded by attractions like "Kuromon Market" and "Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street ". It's no surprise to see a line even on weekdays, and the skilled chefs at the storefront prepare takoyaki at a pace that matches the incoming flow of customers.

While in Namba, Osaka, I stopped by Takoyaki Doraku Wanaka, Sennichimae Main Store and got an order of takoyaki to go. It was still piping hot when I received it, and the aroma kept drifting out, making me want to hurry back and try it!

The outside of the takoyaki had a nice aroma, while the inside was soft and tender. Eating it with the sauce and bonito flakes gave it a real Osaka flavor. Even though I took it back to eat, it still tasted very good, and every piece was satisfying.

Miffy is everywhere in the store, and the huge selection of merchandise is almost overwhelming. Just browsing around the store feels so comforting.

There are lots of cute Miffy plush toys, stationery, household goods, and all kinds of little items. I wanted to take every single one home.

After looking around this time, I really wanted to bring all the cute merchandise home with me!

In Kyoto’s Higashiyama area, seeing Hokan-ji Temple’s Yasaka Pagoda really makes you feel like you’re in Kyoto! The five-story pagoda towers above the streets, and together with the surrounding traditional Japanese machiya townhouses, the whole scene has the charm of the ancient capital.

Walking along the stone-paved streets near Yasaka Pagoda, you’ll find old buildings full of Kyoto character on both sides, and when you look up, you can see the pagoda. No matter which angle you take photos from, it has the feel of a traditional Japanese streetscape.
