While visiting Japan, just seeing the name “Omoshiroi Koibito” and its packaging made me smile. It looks fun and has the strong feel of a Japanese souvenir, making it a great conversation piece to give as a gift.

The cookies are crisp and similar to langue de chat cookies, with a sweet, smooth cream filling. They're a cookie souvenir that's both fun and tasty.

As soon as you open it, the rich aroma of curry hits you. The broth has layers of spices and a savory, pleasantly salty flavor that makes you hungry just from the smell.

The noodles become even richer after soaking up the curry broth. Paired with the small pieces of potato and other toppings, every bite is full of that familiar curry flavor. Although it's just a simple cup of noodles, it has a satisfying aroma and texture.

KANRO's coffee candy was an unexpected little delight I discovered on this trip. As soon as you put one in your mouth, you can smell the rich, captivating coffee aroma.

As you slowly savor it, the coffee flavor gradually unfolds with a hint of sweetness. It isn't overly sweet or cloying, but instead has a mature, full-bodied flavor. It's a tiny piece of candy, but the coffee aroma really stands out.

Coffee lovers will probably really enjoy this candy. Carry a few with you, and whenever you crave something sweet during your trip, you can enjoy a burst of rich coffee flavor.

When I came to Zao, I was hoping to see the juhyo in clear weather, but it turned out to be cloudy and foggy that day, which somewhat limited visibility.

Even so, the trees covered in snow and ice still looked unusual and magnificent. Looking out, the snow-white juhyo stretched across the mountainside, as if I had entered another world of ice and snow. Seeing the massive juhyo shaped by nature with my own eyes was still very awe-inspiring.

Coming to Gifu, the Shinhotaka Ropeway was one of the most anticipated attractions of this trip. As the ropeway climbed higher, the mountain views outside the windows gradually opened up, with layers of mountains stretching into the distance and revealing magnificent alpine scenery.

After reaching the top, I looked out from the observation deck and took in the entire Northern Alps. Snow covered the peaks, and it felt as though I had stepped into a snowy wonderland. The crisp, pristine scenery made it hard to look away. So beautiful!

Visiting Chion-in's Yuzen-en Garden in Kyoto during the summer, I was surrounded by lush greenery. It's a place filled with the beauty of a Japanese garden. Inside, the verdant trees, pond, and stone landscaping complement one another, while paths wind through the garden, revealing delicate and elegant scenery at every turn. A gentle breeze rustling through the treetops makes the garden feel even more peaceful.

In summer, Maruyama Park in Kyoto is filled with lush greenery. The dense trees, green lawns, and winding paths intertwine, creating the refreshing atmosphere of summer in Kyoto.

Walking through the park, there may not be the lively sight of cherry blossoms in full bloom like in spring, but instead, there's a sense of summer vitality. Looking at the trees covered in dense foliage, I couldn't help imagining what they would look like when the cherry blossoms bloom in spring. If I have a chance to visit again, I hope to come in spring and see a different seasonal view of Maruyama Park.

Yasui Konpiragu in Kyoto is known for severing bad ties and forming good ones. Its most distinctive feature is the large Enkiri Enmusubi Stone. Many people write down their wishes and crawl through the stone monument to pray for an end to bad relationships and the arrival of new, positive ones.

Walking through the shrine grounds, you can sense how seriously visitors take their wishes. The stone is covered with layers of prayer papers, creating a unique sight and offering a deeper understanding of Japan's traditional beliefs and prayer culture. Among Kyoto's many temples and shrines, this place presents a completely different way of worship and distinct cultural characteristics.

Seen from far away on the opposite shore, Kaikyo Yume Tower rises high above the city, its slender form standing out prominently beside the coastline. Looking across the Kanmon Straits, boats come and go on the water, blending with the distant cityscape to create a sweeping view.

Although I didn't go up to the observation deck this time and only admired it from afar on the opposite shore, I could still feel the tower's distinctive presence.

While in Kyoto, I especially wanted to buy nama yatsuhashi from the main Shogoin Yatsuhashi Sohonten store, but when I visited, I came away empty-handed and had to buy a variety sold at a branch instead.
The thin outer layer wrapped around the sweet, fragrant filling was soft and delicate. Still, I'm curious whether the flavors at the main store and the branches are different, but I'll have to wait until next time to compare them myself.
