The weather wasn't great when I visited—there was a light drizzle and the cold wind was really biting. I only stayed for a short while before leaving.

Shiga Kogen Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort
Shiga Kogen Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort, located in Yamanouchi Town, Shimotakai District, Nagano Prefecture, is renowned as one of the venues of the 1998 Winter Olympics. The resort offers 20 courses in total, known for its “Platinum Powder”-exceptionally dry and light snow.
Since it's an Olympic venue, skiing here feels extra special—almost like you're in a competition! It's less crowded than some of the more popular resorts, so it's more comfortable and you hardly ever have to wait in line.

Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium
This is a huge aquarium with dolphins, beluga whales, orcas, and other sea creatures in the North wing, and various tanks with live coral and other sea creatures in the South wing.
There are lots of amazing shows with dolphins, beluga whales, and more. It's a fantastic aquarium.

Dreamton Village
A small village nestled in Kameoka’s mountains that has recreated a good old English countryside. Without leaving Japan, you can feel the English village ambience.
It has a charming English countryside vibe. We happened to see a couple taking wedding photos there.
