Feels like a Japanese version of an outlet plus a shopping mall. There’s a big aquarium, DMM Kariyushi Aquarium, which kids will absolutely love.

Hokumon Shrine
Hokumon Shrine stands on an elevated spot overlooking Wakkanai Port and holds the distinction of being the northernmost shrine in Japan with a resident priest. Its origins trace back to 1785, when Denbei Murayama, a contractor of the Matsumae domain, enshrined Amaterasu Omikami as a guardian deity for the northern gate while stationed in Sōya. He established a small shrine and named it Sōya Daijingu. Today, the enshrined deities are Amaterasu Omikami, Takemikazuchi-no-Kami, and Kotoshironushi-no-Kami, and the shrine is known for bringing blessings such as a good harvest, safe voyages, business prosperity, matchmaking, and safe childbirth.
Coming to pay my respects in this kind of weather, my mind just quiets down without me even realizing it. My feet were so cold they went numb, but somehow I actually felt pretty calm.

Takamatsu Symbol Tower
Standing 151.3 meters tall, the tower of Takamatsu Symbol Tower is the tallest building in Shikoku. Located just a 5-minute walk from the Takamatsu Port ferry terminal and 3 minutes from JR Takamatsu Station, it is ideally situated as a gateway for exploring Kagawa.
Such a great spot for photos! The whole building has a super modern design, and the views of Takamatsu and the ocean from the upper floors are just stunning. At night, the lights make it feel really romantic—awesome atmosphere. There are also restaurants and cafes inside, so you can enjoy the scenery while you eat. Perfect place to relax with your partner or friends.
