KANEFUKU Mentai Park Oarai

Japan’s one and only themepark dedicated solely to mentaiko! It’s run by “Kanefuku” the veteran mentaiko maker based in Oarai Town in Higashi Ibaraki-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture.

Inside the park you’ll find the mentaiko factory which produces as much as 5 TONS of mentaiko in a single day, available for you to tour and explore for free! With learning corners that show you how mentaiko products are made, a food court with mentaiko specialties to try, a mentaiko gallery to explore and more, there are countless ways to see, eat and play in this mentaiko world. After checking out all the thrills of mentaiko, head over to the sales corner for a fresh batch. You'll even find an array of mentaiko flavored snacks and seasonings to shop.

The Oarai area is home to “Aqua World Ibaraki Oarai Aquarium”, “Hitachi Seaside Park” and other hot destinations, making it especially easily to include a stop at Mentai Park Oarai during your next visit.
