Hitachi Beef Cuisine Hitachino
Enjoy top-quality Hitachi Beef in a 200-year-old traditional house restaurant.
Hitachi Beef Cuisine Hitachino is set in a location with sweeping views of Mt. Tsukuba. Founded in 1969, this restaurant is the place to enjoy authentic Hitachi Beef. The restaurant building was relocated from Hida Shirakawa-go and consists of three 200-year-old gassho-zukuri houses. The historic interior, with its thick beams and pillars, is also a highlight.
The signature dish is Hitachi Beef Charcoal Grill, slowly cooked over charcoal using the irori hearth installed at each table. Graded A4 and A5, the Hitachi Beef is known for its tenderness, balanced marbling, and rich flavor. To bring out that flavor to the fullest, the Hitachino style is to season it simply with salt and pepper. The restaurant also offers a course meal called Hitachino Style, where you can enjoy both charcoal-grilled beef and sukiyaki (beef loin). It is popular for letting diners fully savor Hitachi Beef.
The spacious interior includes table seating as well as a Japanese-style banquet room that can accommodate up to 80 people. At the front of the restaurant, you can also purchase beef loin for sukiyaki and steak as souvenirs or gifts.
