Kazen no Sho

A traditional Japanese inn in Kuroishi Onsenkyo where the scent of tatami and the gentle beauty of flowers welcome you.

Last update :

Kazen no Sho is a traditional Japanese hot spring inn with tatami flooring throughout, located in Ochiai Onsen, Kuroishi Onsenkyo, Kuroishi City, Aomori Prefecture. Guests can go barefoot from the lobby to the hallways and guestrooms, so you can feel the comfort of tatami from the moment you arrive. The surrounding area also offers a wide variety of attractions, including Tsugaru Kokeshi Museum, Hakkoda Ropeway, and Hirosaki Castle (Park), making it a convenient base for sightseeing.

The inn has 18 guestrooms, all designed in a Japanese-style room layout. They are relatively spacious and made for a relaxed stay. The colorful yukata available for women are especially popular, letting guests enjoy strolling around the inn and viewing the garden. Another highlight is the local kaiseki dinner made with regional ingredients. The beautifully presented seasonal menu can be enjoyed with all five senses.

The free-flowing hot spring, known as a “beautifying bath,” is also popular. Soaking in the soft simple hot spring water in a bath filled with negative ions, made with Aomori hiba wood and Towada stone, brings deep relaxation to both body and mind. At the open-air bath, you can also enjoy the changing beauty of the four seasons, from fresh greenery in spring and lush green in summer to autumn leaves and snowy winter scenery.
