Kanazawa Machiya Kenroku is a whole-house rental accommodation in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. It makes use of a historic machiya townhouse designated as a nationally registered tangible cultural property. A machiya is a traditional wooden building that developed as both a residence and a shop. The inn was built more than 150 years ago and was once home to a lower-ranking samurai of the Kaga Domain. The interior also retains traces of the late Edo and Meiji periods.

The inn has been renovated while preserving machiya design features such as a kaidan tansu staircase chest, prewar tin walls, and a toriniwa earthen passageway. Its exterior is distinguished by kanban kenchiku, a style featuring Western-style ornamentation. Inside, the property is fully equipped with modern amenities including a kitchen, air conditioning, floor heating, and Wi-Fi. Cooking utensils and a refrigerator are also provided, so guests can prepare their own meals. It is designed to let you experience history while enjoying a comfortable stay.

Nearby attractions include Omicho Market, Kenrokuen Garden, and the Nagamachi Samurai District. The location is convenient as a base for sightseeing. More than just a place to stay, it offers a chance to experience both machiya living and the culture of Kanazawa.
