Ajiro-tei

A Western-style restaurant where you can savor the signature dishes "Chicken Miyabeya," "Koutou Rice," and "Hida Beef Steak."

Last update :

Ajiro-tei is a Western-style restaurant established in 1907, located at the foot of Mt. Kinka in Gifu, near the approach to Inaba Shrine. Its specialties are "Chicken Miyabeya" and "Koutou Rice," unique to the Tokai region and rarely found elsewhere.

"Chicken Miyabeya" consists of chicken and onions stir-fried in ketchup and other ingredients, topped with a fried egg. The rich flavor of the sauce pairs exceptionally well with the runny yolk of the egg.

"Koutou Rice" visually resembles a curry rice topped with a fried egg but lacks the traditional spiciness of curry, offering a unique, smooth texture and one-of-a-kind taste. The name originates from the Meiji era when fried eggs were considered a luxury.

The restaurant also offers a variety of nostalgic Western dishes, such as hamburgers, fried shrimp, and omelet rice. Everything, from roux to sauces, is handmade by the owner, starting from roasting the flour. It's a place to enjoy menus that can only be experienced here.
