Shizuoka Station

The largest station in Shizuoka, it is served by the Tokaido Shinkansen and the Tokaido Main Line, with Approx. 110,000 passengers boarding and alighting each day. In addition to easy transfers between the Shinkansen and local lines, the station area facing National Route 1 has highway bus and local bus stops, and Shin-Shizuoka Station on the private Shizuoka Railway line connecting Shizuoka City and Shimizu City is a 7-minute walk away, making it a popular starting point for sightseeing in Shizuoka.

The area around the station is well equipped with shopping facilities such as the station buildings "Parche" and "ASTY" department stores, sightseeing spots including Sunpu Castle Park, museums, and music halls, as well as hotels. There are tourist information centers at both the north and south exits, so it's a good idea to stop by for information when you arrive at the station.
