Meiji Jingu Gaien, the outer park of Meiji Shrine, was established in 1926. It features the Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery and various sports facilities, such as the Meiji Jingu Stadium, where you can enjoy nature throughout the four seasons.

For about 300 meters from Aoyama Dori to the Memorial Picture Gallery, there is a famous row of Gingko trees, called Ginkgo Avenue. When it turns to a golden tunnel of in the autumn, it is very beautiful.
What’s more, in spring about 400 cherry trees bloom with pride. It’s worth seeing them, especially in the environs of the picture gallery.

Various sports facilities are also available. The Meiji Jingu Baseball Stadium is known as a sacred place for college baseball and is also used as the home ground for the professional baseball team, the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. Additionally, there are all-season ice-skating rinks, batting cages, tennis courts, and more, allowing you to enjoy sports casually.
