A signature dish of anpan (a sweet roll filled with bean paste) speciality shop became a popular souvenir of Tokyo station.
The anpan is in the motif of red bricks used for Marunouchi building in Tokyo station. This speciality has been ranked many times as the most popular souvenir bought in Tokyo station, which proves that 4,400 items are sold in one day.
There are two layers with high-quality Koshian (strained bean paste) and Shiroan (white bean paste) mixed with whipped cream inside of the bread dough. Azuki bean paste (red bean paste) is kneaded into fluffy dough so this anpan is a gorgeous food with two kinds of bean pastes. Once bitten, the harmony with dough, Koshian, and cream mixed with Shiroan spreads full in your mouth. You can eat it just as it is, of course, but enjoy comparison with lightly toasted one.
Buying a single item is available but four items in a box with red bricks design is recommended for souvenir.
